ACCESS Program Name: A Child Care Early Support Service DOMAIN: High Quality Stimulation for Infants and Young ChildrenPATHWAY: Access to high-quality early learning opportunities outside of the home A total of 97 or 61% of SNP child learners had been readied for formal schooling all with completed ECD progression checklist. The SNP volunteer received honoraria and the LGU values nutrition of SNP Learners by supporting them with milk. Further, seven (7) facilitators or Parents Volunteers handling these children including the five (5) facilitators for SNP-IP undergone capacity building training on Child Friendly Methodologies for Child Development Workers (CDW). The training was also supported by two (2) 2 ECD focal persons from MSWDO in General Nakar and Real and 3 ECD center based volunteers from our covered areas. Along with this is the capacity enhancement activity is the administration of ECCD checklist reproduction which reached more than 3000 ECD children inclusive to non SNP learners. In fact, during the SNP Facilitators Assessment conducted last April, it shows that 73% including the newly recruited, are confident to facilitate due to the capacity building support by the Federation. Another significant output under this project is the finalization of SNP-IP Module (I-P activity Guide) translated into their local dialects (Pa-dumagat). It was already accepted by the tribal leaders and officially turnover on last December 2016. Reproduction of SNP-IP module and activity guides will in place, formal acceptance as well as signing of certificate by IPO leaders will correspondingly conducted. Further, 16 SNP-IP children attended the session in our pilot implementation of SNP-IP learners using localized IP methodology and module. Also, as a result of continuous lobbying and networking with DSWD Region IV-A CALABARZON, they requesting for the Federation Support regarding on the expansion or additional 6 sites of SNP-IP in General Nakar outside the Federation’s covered area. The training of old and new SNP-IP Facilitator is conducted last June and they expected to start their classes this month of August. Lastly, as a result of the Federations continuous networking and collaboration, capacity building activity in partnership with our stakeholders Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program under DSWD regional office 4P’s, Basic training on “WASH” Water Sanitation and Hygiene for 114 parent leaders in Reina area will conducted as well as to 7 4P’s Municipal links and 9 LGU link to spearhead proper hygiene and sanitation practices in household level and children can acquire knowledge on proper hygiene and sanitation practices. This has been a significant contribution the project has made for ENHANCE FY17.
