Reina Federation recently concluded a series of capacity-building workshops aimed at strengthening the Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs) of five target schools: Minahan Elementary School, Batangan Elementary School, Libjo Elementary School, Binulasan Integrated School, and Dinahican Elementary School. These workshops focused on project development, program monitoring for children, and encouraging parental involvement in their childrenโs education.
The workshops were facilitated by the esteemed Resource Speaker, Ramil Avellaneda Borreo, a Master Teacher 1 from Binulasan Integrated School. With his extensive experience and expertise, Mr. Borreo guided the participants through interactive sessions and practical exercises, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively support their childrenโs educational journey.
A total of 85 PTA officers from the target schools actively participated in the workshops, demonstrating their commitment to fostering a strong partnership between parents, teachers, and the community. The workshops provided a platform for open discussions, sharing of best practices, and collaborative problem-solving.
During the sessions, participants explored various aspects of project development, including identifying community needs, setting realistic goals, and designing impactful initiatives tailored to the unique requirements of their respective schools. They learned effective strategies for monitoring programs, ensuring accountability, and measuring the progress and success of their efforts.
Recognizing the pivotal role of parental involvement in a childโs academic and personal growth, the workshops emphasized the importance of creating an inclusive and supportive environment for families. Participants learned techniques to encourage open communication, promote active engagement in school activities, and foster a strong sense of belonging among parents and caregivers.
Reina Federation remains committed to empowering PTAs and strengthening the bonds between schools, families, and communities. By investing in capacity-building initiatives, the organization aims to create a supportive ecosystem that nurtures the holistic development of children, ensuring they have access to quality education and a nurturing environment that fosters their growth and success.
