ENRICH Project Name: Enhancing Reading Through Identity and Cultural Heritage DOMAIN: Children and young adolescents have positive relationships in supportive homes and communitiesPATHWAY: Positive peer and adult relationships Series of capacity building activities in 23 covered schools were conducted and benefited the 96 individuals peer tutors under Grades 4 and 5 pupils (14 males and 82 females) acquired knowledge on facilitating peer tutoring sessions. The activity was supported by 23 peer tutor advisers as well as to support throughout school peer tutoring sessions on their tutees. On last quarter of F/Y17 for ENRICH project, 18 Elem. School Teachers from 2 pilot schools and 7 volunteer teachers for summer reading camp (Lubayat and Agos-Agos Elem. School) received at least the minimum informative training required by national standards to teach in Kindergarten and Early Grade levels on achieving our aim to Finding Ways to Get Every Child Learn How to Read through the 2-day Seminar โWorkshop on Teaching Reading to Beginning and Struggling Readers for our ENRICH expanded project in 2 identified Elem. Schools. After the 2-day training required by national standards to teach in Kindergarten and Early Grade levels 20-day summer reading camp will launched in our 2 identified expanded ENRICH school partners on April 18, 2017 which is in Agos-Agos Elem School Infanta and Lubayat Elem Sch. Real district more so, 99 childrenโs participated the 20-day summer reading camp and joined the moving-up ceremony on April 12, 2017 (47 from Agos-agos E.S and 52 from Lubayat E.S) reading and comprehension of children attendees from early grade level in summer reading camp will properly enhance.
