LS 3 LS 3 (15-24 yo) targeted 3 major outputs as follows: OUTPUT 1: The capacity of CYA’s are enhanced in promoting awareness in Child Protection and disaster resilient activities OUTPUT 2: Families are practicing child protection and disaster resilient interventions. OUTPUT 3: LGU’s developed inclusive and community centered plans and programs on DRR-CCA, CPIE and other emergencies Worth mentioning about LS 3 is the achievement of target 10% or 18 youth leaders (4 Males and 7 Females) properly trained and led in several sessions concerning COVID-19, MHPSS and PFA, and YDRR. Pool of facilitators are from KALASAG Youth Federation. They can conduct sessions with minimal supervision from adults. As a result, there are 624 youth participants reached at the barangay level. One of the fun yet fruitful MHPSS sessions conducted among youth in one covered area in Real. On the other hand, Reina has 892/350 or (392%) families reached from its simultaneous family-based DRM and child protection activities. Said effort was made possible by the collaboration of FDR across all life stages. For this FY, no DRR-CCA plans were reviewed/developed with BLGUs. They are focused more on COVID-19 response. However, LGUs use their Annual Implementation Plan or AIP where infectious diseases and child protection concerns were already included. One youth in Gen. Nakar successfully converts their vacant space into backyard vegetable garden. One important milestone of FDR this FY 21 is the integration of technology to disaster preparedness both at LGU and communities. This was made possible with the partnership of Reina Federation and ChildFund with GRIDS (Geographic Innovations for Development Solutions, Inc.) and DOST (Department of Science and Technology). The Project RAMDAM or Resource Allocation Management, Distribution, and Monitoring was piloted in Infanta LGU. It was quickly embraced by the MDRRM officer, Mr. Ron Crisostomo, as he understands the effectiveness and efficiency of having such technology. It also answered their need to geo-tag houses prone to calamities. The MSWD officer also shares appreciation for linking their concerns, such as relief distribution, and reporting of child abuse cases in the said application. This effort is also a plus point for the Federation to secure their renewal of partnership and evaluation conducted by the DSWD. CSO meetings were also conducted to 8 pilot barangays covered by the federation which are mostly prone to flood. Success of this endeavor will lead into extending the app to areas of Real and Gen. Nakar. MDRRM officer of Infanta, Mr. Ron Crisostomo, enthusiastically conducts Project RAMDAM orientation at the barangay level. Project RAMDAM includes the most populated Brgy. of Dinahican, with 3, 200 households reached. This partnership with the LGU also encourages strong partnership for its relevance to their challenge this time of pandemic. MDRRMC also promised to also include this in the โTalakayan-on-Airโ at the provincial and regional levels. Former BOT President, Teresita Coronacion, led a Family DRR orientation in Infanta.
