PARENTS CCP PROJECT : PARENTS (Parents Association Resources Empowerment and Networking Towards Sustainability) ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS ReINa is continuously sustain internal capacity building and consistently engage its leaders and volunteers in project management and making sure that their skills are effectively utilize to reach a stage that all activities are implemented, monitored, and evaluated monthly and quarterly both at federation and community level. With the development of Federation’s Strategic cum Sustainability Plan last Fiscal Year, the Board has come to its new set of officers based on the agreement and plan. With this new set, necessary legal requirements were also done (i.e., reporting to SEC). This change was from Parent Associations up to the Federation as brought about the assessment results being integral part of Strategic Plan development. These changes are all legally documented through a Board Resolution. REINA and the three (3) member associations continuously complied its statutory reports to the government such as renewal of business permits, payment of required taxes, process application for tax exemption and compliance to other statutory requirements. Despite financial constraint of some Parent Associations, the other member PA and the Federation itself provide the necessary assistance to the member PA who are in need as they both understand the importance of having updated legal status. Annual assembly and election of officers were conducted to 3 member associations and federation attended by 161 ( 153_females and 8 males) community members. Annual General Assembly of Infanta Community of Parent`s Association, Inc. (ICOMPAS) 11 Federation and Parent leaders underwent capacity building on Financial Management and compliance reporting as part of strengthening parent’s capacity on organizational governance and management. This resulted on the need to review current PAs financial recordings and bookkeeping. PARTNERSHIP BUILDING and NETWORKING The DSWD Region IV-A has awarded the Federation as one of the most active NGO in Region IV-A (out of three awardees) through its PANATA/SALAMAT Po Award. Federation continues to be an active member of the Area-based standards network (ABSNET) in Quezon Province. With ABSNET membership, the Federation was kept updated with the latest advisories and guidelines of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) that serve as guides for the Federation to maintain its good standing as NGO. Two (2) invitations from DSWD Region IV-A and Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC) and the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) of Batangas for Reina Federation representatives to be one of the Resource Speakers on UNCRC and Positive Discipline. These were part of the National Children’s Month Celebration. The three (3) members Parent Associations are already DSWD Registered and members of ABSNET Quezon Cluster This registration with DSWD is part of sustainability initiatives of Federation and member PAs. This will help them widen their networks and opportunities. The Federation was once again recognized by the DSWD as one of its active partners in Quezon Province supporting its Pantawid Program initiatives. Reina Federation is one of the few community-based partner Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) of DSWD in the province. Majority of its partners are faith-based organizations directly implementing Family Development Sessions (FDS). For the case of Reina Federation, it supports the Pantawid initiatives that are parallel to its interventions in Reina community like the FDS, Youth Development Sessions (YDS) and Family Preparedness initiatives. ReINa Federation remains its active participation in the meeting and planning of local mandated bodies such as MDRRMC, MCPC and MNAO. Federation`s /association`s representatives are able to participate in the discussion and planning relative to protection issues of children and youth in the communities and recognized the federation works for the cause of children. Technical expertise of ReiNa particular on youth development sessions was sought by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development of Real, Infanta & General Nakar through its Municipal Link for 4Ps project. This is in line with the spirit of trust, care, and participation to government programs and services and support the cause of our children & youth. Active participation of youth during Youth Development Sessions in partnership with 4Ps from the 3 municipalities—Real, Infanta and Nakar. Quezon. RESOURCE GENERATION Resource generation from outside sources still pose a challenge to the Federation. Aside from the regular partners’ contribution on the free use of training facilities and Technical Assistance (free Professional Services), the GOLAH has contributed a lot in the counterpart generation of the Federation LEVEL OF EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS OF FEDERATION (EPP 2019) The Federation is now 82% prepared for any hazard event or emergency situation. A 19% increase (from 63% last March 2019 to 82% in May 2019) in Level of Preparedness was recorded with all the efforts exerted by Federation Staff and Board to complete and comply requirements as deemed necessary in the Minimum Preparedness Areas (MPAs).
